Statistical services in the field of waste management
The Statistical Office of the European Communities, EUROSTAT, has published an invitation to tender concerning the provision of services related to the preparation and compilation of statistics on waste, and the setting-up of a harmonized European system on the production, treatment, elimination and cross-border transport of waste. The work to be carried out falls under the Community's Framework Programme for Priority Actions in the Field of Statistical Information 1993-1997 (sectoral programmes for environmental policy). The contract to be awarded will cover an initial period of one year, renewable for four further one-year periods, subject to budget availability and service satisfaction.
