The European Commission, DG XXII, has published a call for proposals concerning the support of international non-governmental youth organizations. The main objective of the grants to be awarded under this call is to encourage the development of international non-governmental youth organizations, and the organization by them of activities of interest to the community involving and/or benefiting young people. These grants are primarily intended to help cover general expenses associated with the organization and execution of activity programmes in a European context. Grants are awarded on an annual basis, with proposals assessed independently each year. The current call relates to grants to be awarded in 1998. The maximum amount of each grant will be ECU 30,000, and in no circumstances will exceed 50% of the organization's general annual expenses for 1998. Applications must be made on a special form, which may be obtained from: European Commission DG XXII - Education, training and youth Mr. A.
