Full scale High speed aerodynamics characteristics of the Civil Tilt Rotor
The Topic is aimed to characterize at high speed the fundamental aerodynamic aspects of the new tilt rotor configuration. The task shall be accomplished through a key support of an experimental wind tunnel test investigation. The activity will be accomplished by design, manufacturing and testing up to Mach 0.6 the basic configuration model including variants (in power off conditions). The main aerodynamic data set to feed Flight Mechanics simulation tools at full scale will be provided at the end of the activity with the support, if needed, by CFD.
