NEW PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DURABLE WOOD EXTERNAL JOINERY AND GARDEN FURNITURE THROUGH MANAGED PYROLYTIC TREATMENT

Objective

The feasibility of a new process of managed pyrolysis applied to wood has been proved on laboratory scale. This process will allow the production of a new product (PYROW) presenting new specific properties in terms of dimensional stability and durability. This new product can be used for external application without additional treatment (impregnation, finishing). The foreseen work programme of the project is directed toward the validation of the results on an industrial pilot scale basis...
