Deliverables
The Deliverables describes the models for fault detection, control and energy and health management that are integrated in the digital twin. In addition, the requirements and software architecture of the cloud-platform supporting the digital twin, as well as the interfaces to communicate with the physical IMD sensor network through the IoT are presented.
Ecodesign guideline covering environmental material criticality and circularity considerations (opens in new window)Environmental performance and material criticality of the new components and solutions explored in the project are analysed and evaluated. As a result, a design guide line for improving circularity of the products, that is, increasing repairing, reusing, remanufacturing and recovering of materials and components, and facilitating dismantling and disposal, will be prepared in this Deliverable, which will include material selection matrixes and property charts covering environmental indicators, costs, technical parameters etc. An update of this deliverable is provided in M15.
Kick-Off Meeting report (opens in new window)Detailed project planning and minutes of the KoM are presented in this Deliverable, which will include the management team and roles and project governance structure.
Materials specifications and requirements for active and passive electronic components Selection matrix and integration strategies (opens in new window)Active electronic switches and resistive and reactive passive components are described and specified in this Deliverable, as well as converters' materials such as bus-bars and coolers. Based on system and component specifications, a selection matrix is developed and active and passive components to be used on the prototypes are selected, as well as their joining elements, connections and casing. An update of this deliverable is provided in M15
Fault tolerant control of SiC-GaN power converters (opens in new window)Algorithms for power converter and motor fault detection, identification and prediction based on local switches measures are presented in the Deliverable. Also, algorithms developed for the protection of the motor and converter will be included in the report. This Deliverable will be updated on M29.
Multi-Stakeholder Platform (opens in new window)The MSP developed in the project to ensure identification, engagement, inclusion and active participation of relevant stakeholders and their diverse perspectives is presented in this Deliverable. The platform is also designed to serve as an instrument for sharing knowledge and engage with other successful projects under the present HE call and other future related HE projects.
Lab testing and validation of the Thermal Management System (opens in new window)Results of the different thermal tests performed on the low power converter prototype of 15kW under a wide range of operating conditions are presented and discussed. A set of proposals and recommendations for scaling up the design up to 150 kW are also included in the Deliverable
Gender Action Plan and Ethics considerations (opens in new window)The purpose of this deliverable is to report on the gender aspects of the project and provide a framework for addressing the various ethical issues related to the development, design, implementation and testing of the prototypes developed in the project. This deliverable will therefore describe the need and importance of promoting gender balance and equality transversely and how the ethics considerations are fulfilled throughout the project planning and implementation to stand out as an excellent example of a well-balanced working community
Active gate drivers for high-power and high-frequency WBG devices (opens in new window)Smart active gate drivers for enhancing maximum switching speed and reducing electromagnetic interferences (EMI) of the new WBG devices used in prototypes are designed, integrated within the power modules and validated. A complete report of designs and simulations is presented in this Deliverable.
Intelligent power modules with integrated sensors and OTP OCP circuits (opens in new window)Report of the results related to the design, fabrication and validation of the compact power modules, including active switches, gate drivers and auxiliary electronics, at a laboratory level. Thermal degradation and undesirable electrical effects are also studied and presented in this deliverable.
PDEC - Plan for the dissemination and exploitation and communication activities (opens in new window)This Deliverable describes the plan for the dissemination, exploitation and communication activities within RHODaS. The objective of the PDEC is to identify and organise actions to promote the commercial exploitation of the project’s results and achieve a wide dissemination of knowledge from the project. It will consider the communication needs, objectives and goals, target audiences, key message, sources, communication channels, barriers, action plans and results evaluation. In addition, a dissemination tool kit with templates and materials for dissemination and communication is provided. This deliverable will be updated in M24 and in M45.
System specifications and requirements for electric and electronic system including thermal management system (opens in new window)The Deliverable describes the electro-mechanic, electronic and thermal system specifications at a high level, including software requirements and functionalities of the intermediate, as well as the the final prototypes to be developed throughout the project. Requirements and measurements/tests to be performed on the prototypes are also defined. An update is provided in M9.
Experimental results and validation of lab-scale power converters prototypes (opens in new window)The Deliverable includes simulations and results obtained from the tests performed with the low power converter prototype of 15kW@1200VDC. Among others tests, long-term overvoltage, reset behaviour, connector interruption, signal lines short-circuits, EMC/ESD tests (electrical tests); high/low temperature aging, increment temperature test, low/high temperature operation, damp heat cyclic, thermal shocks for components (environmental test), vibration and mechanical shock test (mechanical); and insulation resistance, dielectric strength, protection against water and dust (safety tests) are performed and discussed in this report.
Thermal Management System strategies - modelling and simulations (opens in new window)The results of the materials and thermal systems characterization and simulation are presented in the Deliverable. The analysis of the results related to the design and integration of specific thermal paths for high temperature components within the thermal management system is described as well. The Deliverable includes the description of the simulation tools developed for estimating temperatures, thermal efficiencies and performances.
The project's public website presenting project information to allow dissemination of non-confidential results (concept, partner goals, public reports, deliverables, publications, online training courses, videos, etc.) is the core of this Deliverable, which will be continuously updated during the project and maintained for some time after the end of the project.
Project Videos (opens in new window)At least 2 videos will be provided to support the communication and dissemination activities of the project. The first one will be delivered in M24 and the second one in M45.
