Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EcoMobility (Intelligent, Safe and secure connected Electrical Mobility solutions: Towards European Green Deal and Seamless Mobility)
Reporting period: 2023-05-01 to 2024-04-30
WP3: Requirements and specifications from WP1 have been taken and the cooperation with the partners has been organized to ensure smooth progress on the technical part. Sensor and electronic components evaluations and developments have started and, in some cases, even tests have been performed. These activities have provided feedback for WP1 and WP2, and helped to define new and tailored requirements in WP1.
WP4: This work package aims to develop computational HW, algorithms and methods to spread AI in control in automated vehicles and industrial systems. All tasks are running since M10. Most partners spent most of their effort in WP1 and WP2 in RP1 therefore the work here is in early stage. It targets the utilization of AI and software components, on the edge. It is expected that new AI methods, software components and supporting tools will be prepared and made available in next reporting periods.
WP7: Dissemination and communication work for the project was started by opening public communication channels and developing the visual identity for the project. The EcoMobility website has been developed to promote the effective communication and dissemination of results and findings within the project. Academic and research partners actively started preparing the project related publications and participating at various conferences. Furthermore, social media presence (via Twitter and Linkedin) was launched and active communication was started. The first year of the project is dedicated to exploitation strategy creation and planning of the upcoming activities. Regarding the standardization, the first activity in this task has been the identification of standards that are relevant to EcoMobility, including with respect to the ethics of using artificial intelligence.
WP2: The year 1 was dedicated to defining the architectures and interfaces of the corresponding demonstrators. As part of the preparation for requirements and specifications, state-of-the-art studies were conducted on relevant demonstrators and use cases. The related achievements in system designs and architectures will be reported/disseminated in detail in RP2.
WP3: This first year has been primarily focused on delineating sensors, components and architectures for the different use cases. It is yet too soon to evaluate and even describe final results and their impact. After the second year, it will start to be feasible to get into these.
WP4: After three months of WP4 operation, there are no real results yet. Study of existing approaches, the definition of requirements and system level design proposing the solutions going beyond the state art was realized in WP1 and WP2. Only initial trials were performed about the feasibility of proposed solutions.
WP5: No result to be reported for the first month of the WP5.
WP7: The first year was dedicated for the project related communication. More tangible impactful results will be available in the next reporting periods.
