EIT Manufacturing will enable EU manufacturing actors to compete on global markets, providing attractive jobs and setting global standards.
The Innovation team successfully took the first steps in transforming EIT Manufacturing into a reputable service organization, offering high-quality services to the European Manufacturing sector. This was achieved through the implementation of a refined call process, enhanced support for innovation activities, piloting a Business Intelligence service, and the commercialization of AGORA, the European Manufacturing social network and Open Innovation platform. Moreover, by developing robust assessment methodologies and KPIs, the team ensured funding was directed towards innovations with measurable social and environmental impacts, aligning with the EU's sustainability goals.
The Education team made notable progress towards expanding EIT Labelled programs and promoting wider engagement through various channels. By integrating and complementing education courses into Non-degree and Fellowship programs, they enhanced the reach and scale of EIT Labelled Master, PhD, and other programs. Additionally, efforts were made to strengthen education assets and business models, such as the Digital Learning Platform and the Learning Factories Marketplace, positioning EIT Manufacturing as a comprehensive service organization. Through this process, EIT Manufacturing facilitated the rapid implementation of groundbreaking innovations in relevant industries and market segments, contributing to economic impact and value creation.
Lastly, the RIS team prioritized establishing a stable ecosystem in EIT RIS countries while empowering actors from these regions. Through capacity-building activities for startups, students, and researchers, as well as engagement in digital transformation initiatives, the team fostered participation in EIT Manufacturing programs. Synergies with regional and national authorities were strengthened, enhancing collaboration and support for the twin digital and green transformation in manufacturing.
Overall, in 2023, EIT Manufacturing demonstrated significant progress across all pillars, positioning itself as a key player in European manufacturing innovation and sustainability.
