A new innovative way to upskill and reskill your deskless workers: Predictive and adaptive learning

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - Vignita (A new innovative way to upskill and reskill your deskless workers: Predictive and adaptive learning)

Reporting period: 2023-07-01 to 2024-06-30

We're experiencing the biggest workplace change in history. Within the next ten years AI and automation will impact hundreds of millions of jobs. Fast technological development will continuously improve and replace the tools we know, and many will lose their jobs to a robot. This is especially true for industry heavy sectors and for deskless workers. There will be a massive demand for upskilling and reskilling to meet new demands for knowledge, skills and competence. A market that already accounts for more than a trillion dollars.

The demand comes from companies trying to stay competitive through the green and digital transition, but also from people seeking to future-proof their careers and livelihood. Companies will have to fight harder to attract and retain top talent who expect and need to grow their competence. And on the other side, it will be even more important to increase the competence of people with low-qualifications or low-skills. A large proportion of adults already fall outside the current job market. Many more will not only risk losing their job, but also remain outside the job market with huge social and economical implications.

Every day 6000 people die from work related incidents around the world. Many could have been avoided with improved training and competence, especially within health, safety and environmental measures. This education requires both theoretical and practical training. Often also courses by a third party to get the right competence and certification to be compliant with rules and regulations.
Current solutions for learning do not address the needs for deskless workers, and are not positioned to take a lead role for adaptive and predictive learning.

To keep up with technological development we have to rethink the way we share skills and how we address lifelong learning. We believe we need to move towards predictive learning to future-proof jobs and careers, as well as adaptive learning to ensure that the upskilling and reskilling is effective for the whole workforce.
Vignita has taken the first step to a solution for these challenges by offering a unique open B2B learning network that companies use to share skills online and onsite with their team, clients and partners. We automate and secure compliance through one unified data driven process. With our inbuilt two-sided marketplace, companies can find the education and training tailored for their business needs. With machine learning we will also match the right type of training to the learning-style of each individual.

Our application gathers a vast amount of internal and external data which will be the foundation for our machine learning algorithm for predictive and adaptive learning. This will allow both employers and employees to upskill and reskill in parallel with the green and technological transitions.
● Predictive learning means that Vignita will understand and predict what you and your team should learn today in order to stay competitive in the future.
● People are different. Adaptive learning is when Vignita learns when you get your best results, determine your unique learning profile and tailor the best training for you.

As part of the Women TechEU programme, we initiated our international expansion, refining our product to meet diverse market needs and enhancing our data for predictive and adaptive learning. Over the past year, we successfully met our objectives, securing new clients in Norway, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Vignita has demonstrated its versatility, being adopted across various industries, from construction and manufacturing to health and HoReCa. Our clients now utilise Vignita for both internal and external training, maximising the product's capabilities.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals underline our business culture and are at the heart of Vignita’s strategy. Through predictive and adaptive learning we will move Vignita even further ahead to be a part of the solution for the following challenges with profound societal and environmental impact:

- Making education available to all: Both employees and employers get the tools they need to upskill in Vignita, for any type of course delivery, and also to share skills and knowledge between companies.
- Reducing work-related injury and death: Everyday 6000 people die from work related incidents around the world. Many could have been avoided with improved competence, especially within health, safety-, and environmental measures. It is our aim to make professional training available for all and work towards zero work-incidents.
- Reducing travel and improving education on global issues, ie. climate change: Vignita can be used for any type of training. Although the practical element is key for deskless workers, there are also many opportunities to create hybrid programmes with digital learning through e-learning in various formats and online tutoring.
