OEI - Requirement No. 1 (opens in new window)

Ethics Advisor_The proposal aims to develop a portable air sampling-based screening system to enable customs administrations worldwide to rapidly and reliably inspect for the presence of illicit goods. It relies on a multi-detector differential mobility analyser (DMA) that classifies molecular ions based on their electrical mobility. As the results of the toolkit will, to a certain extent, influence the users decision making and may have a significant impact on people's lives, the introduction of an ethics advisor is necessary to avoid possible shortcomings of the datasets and to ensure that the ML models developed are explainable within the framework of the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI. The ethics advisor should report on an annual basis.

OEI - Requirement No. 2 (opens in new window)
