Objective
"The UNICHE project aspires to co-design and create an intuitive, technology-agnostic ""black-box"" platform as a “no-code”, single-entry, collaborative tool for effortlessly designing, producing and sharing high-quality, interactive, cultural heritage experiences. With its user-friendly system, CH institutions and professionals, researchers, CI freelancers and resource limited players will be able to collaborate and generate high value interactive content in multiple formats (multimodal). UNICHE’s approach prioritizes ease of use and minimizes the technical expertise required, ensuring broad accessibility for diverse users and their audiences.
By leveraging and integrating existing advanced technologies and tools developed by the consortium, UNICHE’s platform (Repository, Authoring Environment, Experience Apps and Evaluation tool) addresses in a holistic way the four E’s: Exhibits, Experience design, Exhibitions and Evaluation processes. Direct access and inclusion of exhibits from existing data spaces at the EU and Member States’ levels through the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) is a fundamental aspect of the project, addressing key challenges in cultural heritage institutions.
The cultural content (exhibits) channeled through the ECCCH is utilised and repurposed in the AI-assisted Experience design process and presented through the Exhibition phase (Onsite, Hybrid and Remote), in which Evaluation processes are put in place to inform the enhancement of visitor engagement. UNICHE’s approach will firstly be evaluated in Pilot scenarios that represent diverse cultural heritage settings: open-air archaeological sites, museum permanent exhibitions and portable exhibitions and secondly will be further tested through an open call to third parties, inviting them to use the platform, fostering a community of small cultural heritage institutions and creative industry professionals.
