Vehicle for Mobility - Advancing Public Passenger Transport in Europe

Objective

The VOYAGER project is to create a European platform for local and regional public transport stakeholders (PT operators, suppliers, authorities at all levels, researchers and users to air their views, give input on current and planned actions and ultimately provide recommendations to improve the European, national and local public transport environment to a level that fully meets the transport user's requirements.

It intends to achieve this by: identification of the state of the art of local and regional PT identifying key barriers and challenges for implementing competitive and attractive public transport systems at local and regional level validating the impacts of various innovative concepts and strategies of public transport to specify future priorities in the area of public transport selecting and developing "good practice" case studies developing specific guidelines and policy recommendations for all public transport stakeholders on what needs to be done to realise a sustainable, efficient and safe public transportation system.
