Objective
The primary objective of ETIS-LINK is to provide centralised, clear co-ordination of ETIS development in order to help ensure the quality and usefulness of ETIS, smooth and swift consensus among the involved parties, and an effective up-take of the results by the Commission, Member States and other users.
Sub-objectives are to: Integrate relevant 4th and 5th FP research outcomes (models and data) into ETIS; Provide strategic direction for and assessment of the ETIS interface and database; Co-ordinate ETIS development efforts, facilitate the dissemination of its results, and provide technical and administrative support; Bring together experts (within the disciplines of database and software development, transport policy, and sustainable mobility) and users (e.g. policy-makers, analysts, and authorities) for discussions to create consensus and generate support.
