Technology impacts on load profiling for tariff development end deregulated European electricity markets

Objective

Objectives are to assess achievements so far throughout the European Union (& elsewhere) in applying modern metering and data processing techniques for developing tariffs from measured consumer electrical load profiles; to facilitate the knowledge transfer between researchers and interested parties, to find economic & technical solutions for tariff design in competitive European Electricity Markets; to evaluate potential benefits for consumers in deregulated European Electricity Markets derived from further research emphasing load profiling & tariff development by implementing modern data acquisition, transfer and processing technologies - to draw up a research agenda and disseminate information on the economic and technical methodologies for tariffs and Electricity Market modelling to electricity supplier & user communities. "TELMARK" supports EC Policies - Directive 96/92/EC and ENERGY POLICY White Paper emphasising economic policy, market integration and deregulation.
