Objective
TRAVEL-GUIDE will develop guidelines concerning information provision by traffic information and traffic management system.
The project will investigate and assess the needs of drivers in terms of content, presentation, availability, reliability, timing and hierarchy of the e information provided, conduct relevant tests and suggest new methods in order to meet user needs and requirements raised by the development of the Trans-European Networks.
New methods of information provision and presentation will be developed in order to increase information functionality and decrease the driver workload taking into account the specific requirements of special driver groups, including foreign drivers.
The work will improve the credibility and reliability of traffic information systems, enhance their effectiveness in relation to network utilisation, traffic safety and environmental protection and promote relevant market application.
