Objective

(1) Improving quality of live and citizens' safety by:
(a) reduction of transformed explosions (fire, black-out);
(b) environment protection (green-house gases, soil and water contamination)

(2) Economic benefits:
(a) avoiding large scale losses related to the wide area black-out caused by chain reaction (domino effect) of the single explosion;
(b) decreasing fixed unit energy cost (lower insurance cost of grid operators, smaller number of redundant transformers, etc.);
(c) new employment opportunities in hi-tech diagnostic companies (SME);
(d) world wide export of diagnostic equipment produced by European companies

Main objectives will be obtained by:
(a) improving the diagnostic method of power transformer insulation, based on Dielectric Polarisation Phenomenon (DPP);
