Real-time energy management via power-lines and Internet

Objective

The project aims at fine grained data collection of energy consumption by remotely reading energy meters over Internet and power-line. Additionally it will provide means for controlling the consumers in order to enable load shaping, energy management and fully automated energy billing. To achieve these goals, a broadband power line communication system will be designed in order to enable remote reading of energy consumption over the Internet.

The following tasks are to be solved:
- Concept of the broadband power line communication for multi-entity communication systems
- Design and development of a set of hardware/software solutions implementing the concept
- Study of the system major characteristics
- Field tests of the system and the project results demonstration

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)
