Ecological and highly efficient systems and equipment for electromechanical energy Conversion

Objective

The proposed CoE project has the following general objectives: to allow the proposing institution to improve its research capacity as an internationally recognised educational and research centre in the area of electrical machines and electrified transport; to increase the sustainable development in all the activities-research, teaching at university level and training; to create basis for enlarging involvement in EU research programmes, mostly within FP6; to organise or re-establish network activities with EU and NAS leading partners and to establish closer contacts with industry, railway and urban transport companies for technology transfer, research and study works.

In order to achieve the above mentioned general objectives the following specific activities are planned to strengthen the international position of CoE in EU and NAS, increasing of education and research effectiveness as well as orientation of CoE works towards market, industry and local societies.
