Objective
The primary objective of the proposed work programme is to promote export prospects for EU industry and service providers in the field of efficient utilisation of low volatile coals in the power sector, especially in Eastern Europe, the CIS and Asia (although other geographical regions will not be ignored, e.g. North America and Australia).
This will be facilitated by:
- Updating knowledge on anthracite and low volatile coal resources world-wide that would benefit from new or improved utilisation.
- Matching technologies available in the EU with needs world-wide and raising local awareness of these technologies.
- Identifying any technological improvements needed for specific applications.
