UPGRADING (STABILIZATION -PRESERVATION) OF VARIOUS EUROPEAN WOOD SPECIES AS A RESULT OF AN AXIAL IMPREGNATION PROCESS

Objective

The axial impregnation of logs, achieves the upgrading (valorization) of beech wood. The methodology of beech logs impregnation has been demonstrated; large scale of this novel, high value wood, is now on place. Laboratory tests on Portugeese and Irish wood spacies were successfull the aim of this project is to transfer the acquired knowledge and the technology to under developed regions acquired knowledge and the technology to under developed regions ....
