Objective
The project focuses on the scaling-up and validation of a newly developed process to be used in the industrial production of particleboard, medium density fibreboard (MDF) and plywood. The process is based on a novel encapsulated catalyst for the optimum curring of the urea-formadehyde (UF) resin used as a binder. The use of the technology allows a substantial increase in production capacity and productivity.
