INTER-REGIONAL TRANSFER OF ADVANCED COMPUTER BASED TECHNOLOGIES FOR SMES IN THE FOUNDRY INDUSTRY

Objective

The project will achieve inter-regional technology transfer of new computer based simulation and process modelling techniques for metal casting to SMEs in the foundry sector in Spain. This will be achieved through electronic data links between an established centre of excellence in these technologies, the Castings Centre at the University of Birmingham, and INASMET, an industrial research, development and technical consultancy organisation in Spain.
