REMOVAL OF HEAVY METALS, FROM E.G. SEWAGE SLUDGE, THROUGH RECYCLED SULFIDE FROM BIOGAS UPGRADING - THE ROHM PROCESS APPROVED FOR PATENTING

Objective

The RoHM process emerged as spin-off from nitrogen recycling research in the laboratory of participant 1 (the inventor). The innovation was sulfide from purification of biogas can be recycled to precipitation of heavy metals and provide comparative advantages - the RoHM is approved for patent in November 96. Sulfide precipitation of heavy metals is in itself well known, but the use of recycled sulfide requires a changed approach to engineering.
