Objective
Through KIIB the businessmen travelling in Italy will be given a better understanding of the cities, services and opportunities offered to them. The project responds to the ever increasing needs of businessmen travelling abroad to better plan their visit in the country. KIIB is an IMM product in 5 languages based on ISO CD-ROM standard, through which one can consult a colour video, choose the location of interest and the services offered in Italy.
KIIB will include the following 2 types of application:
commercialisation in several European and non European countries (Italy included) through travel agencies and tour operators;
be present in Emporion electronic multimedia catalogues present in 35 countries, in 40 Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIE) and in the more important international trade shows (Italian and foreign) in which Emporion participates.
KIIB will contain 2 principal types of information:
general information such as city maps, historical explanations, climate, museums, etc;
specific information such as hotels, restaurants, banks, trade shows, etc.
Revenue from KIIB sales will be from 2 sources:
sales of CD-ROM abroad through the CCIE and in Italy through the Emporion network of 25 retailers;
KIIB will offer publicity space to those companies, promotional associations, hotels, service companies for businessmen, where the fee allows them to exhibit colour images of their product and a detailed description of services.
