Grid-connected Pv systems on roofs of newly built low energy consumptive family houses

Objective

The main objective of this project is the construction of the first "Photovaltaic village" in Czech Republic. Fifty new low-energy consumptive family houses will be built at Blesno, near the city Hradec Kralove. In the frame of the project we plan to equip twenty roofs of houses (with the best position for the solar energy conversion) with the grid-on solar modules, each system with the power capability about 2000WP (18 modules per 112Wp). From the technological point of view we plan to enhance the solar cell efficiency from present 15% to above 16% leading to the increase of the output power of solar modules from 112Wp to about 120Wp.

This enhancement will be based on the results of a basic and applied research with using different measuring and diagnostic methods. The publicity of this project and thus solar energy conversion as a clean source of energy will be provided by assistance of Prague technical university and by the data visualisation and propagation for the general public.
