Objective
The objective of REGIS is to develop a computerized client management system (CCMS) for an insurance "agents based" company, supported by a virtual entity (VE). This will be an original product of applied artificial intelligence (AAI), which will allow the company to progressively extend the mass and kinds of managed data, including non-formal information on the clients relationships.
Consequently, the aim of REGIS project is to allow the insurance agents to easily and effectively identify the adequate service to be provided, tailoring it to the specific customer requirements. The new agency system will be designed, and a set of integrated tools and organizational models will be developed. The agency system will be integrated into the company system, thanks to a general business process re-engineering design, which will allow the company to achieve remarkable goals of quality improvement and costs reduction.
REGIS deals with the "agents based" insurance companies, which actually represent more than 50% of the market. Their market shares are reducing, owing to the lower costs and high effectiveness of other distribution networks. REGIS tools and models will be an opportunity to get a new competitive advantage, building a flexible and really personalized services distribution system.
