Objective
ASITEL gives the possiblity of communication within two companies from different countries in two languages. It works through an operator who translates the conversation to both speakers. The project allows the combination of telecommunication and simultaneous interpretation, reaching therefore an interpersonal contact.
The project will develop an Internet system, through which the company will dial the service phone number in Spain, in Denmark or in any of the associated countries, and will ask for the needed language. This demand will then be transferred to the available interpreter at that moment. Hereafter, the interpreter will carry out the connection, by interpreting simultaneously.
ASITEL will study the possibilities of having the most flexible system in relation to the companies and the interpreters. The benefit for the companies seems obvious, also the interpreters will benefit with regard to a new employment niche, developing an innovating project in the field of SME's world-wide trade.
