Objective In-Sight is a SME-driven project on the in-line characterisation of nanoparticles during nanomaterial manufacturing. This in-line characterisation is the ultimate goal. Within the time-span of the project (3 years) it is our objective to show that a combination of analytical techniques that are capable of real time measurements will provide valuable information for the nanoparticle user. It is our objective to enable monitoring real-time (unexpected) changes in particle count and dimensions during particle processing. The outcome of the project will contribute to minimised batch failure, improved yield, troubleshooting scale-up. In addition, the in-line measurements will enable ‘quality by design’ throughout development of new products. Finally the result of the project will be reflected in a reduction of development time, as well as easy scale-up from the lab to manufacturing.
