Final Report Summary - FLUIDGRAVITY (Fluid Dynamics and Quantum Gravity)

Using and combining the experiences and tools from quantum field theory, gravity and fluid dynamics, the goal of this project was to address the challenging task of mapping the Navier-Stokes turbulence problem to a general relativity problem and to find new tools for constructing and analyzing black hole solutions. The project succeeded in reaching these goals, as it brought about the construction of several new classes of black ring and black hole solutions, the discovery of new symmetries in black hole space-times, and the understanding of the thermal helicity of conformal theories using the fluid-gravity correspondence.
