Establishment of the Innovation Relay Centre CENEMES for the Eastern and south-Eastern region of Spain over the period of 48 months starting from 1st of April 2004 to 31st of March 2008

Objective

The main objective of the IRC Cenemes is to foster the technological development of SME's through the establishment of technology transfer agreements and the exploitation of Community Research Results through the IRC Network. The geographical area covered includes, the Comunidad Valenciana, the Region of Murcia and the Balearic Islands. Besides the assistance provide to SME's, the IRC Cenemes will provide their services to technological institutes/centres and universities, which are the main actors involved in innovative technologies and in promoting and adapting innovative technologies in SME's in the area covered. The services offered comprise a full range of tools to provide costs-effective services to reach successful technology transfer agreements: technology audits, monthly magazines, search engine for technology watch, technology exploitation plans, expert advice in negotiation technology transfer agreements, organisation of events and seminars to promote transnational agreements. Moreover a charging policy will be promoted among the clients to valorise economically the services provided. A marketing strategy will be implemented to promote effectively the Cenemes service and consolidate a common working methodology in the consortium. The partners in the IRC Cenemes consortium are: University of Alicante SGITT-OTRI (the liaison office of the university), INFO(Industrial Promotion Agency of the Regional Government from Murcia), REDIT (the technological institutes network in the Comunidad Valenciana), AINIA (Technological Institute of the Agrofood Industry). The consortium will be managed through three steering committees that will involved all the responsible staff in each organisation with the aim of exploit all theresources and assure the long term future of the service. These are: the managing committee, the follow-up committee and the technical committee. The expected results will be the achievement of 62 technology transfer agreements.
