Centre Relais Innovation Sud-Ouest-France (Aquitaine, Limousin, Midi-Pyrenees, poitou-Charentes)

Objective

The South West France Innovation Relay Centre (Centre Relais Innovation Sud Ouest - CRISOF) is composed of the four organisations already active in the previous network. It covers the four regions of Southwest France: Aquitania, Limousin, Midi-Pyrenees and Poitou-Charentes. The project will be providing services to local SMEs at a large scale, in all sectors, and in a pro-active manner, with the aim of facilitating the transnational dissemination of technology and knowledge. The project objectives have increased by 20% in terms of transfers, with a constant level of human resources and they are more extensive: they include the reinforcement of the IRC European network through structured, mobilising and quantified initiatives for bilateral and thematic co-operation; a wider economic impact of European research for which it is providing strong support. The strategy adopted is based on the involvement of people with in-depth experience of the transnational technology transfer process; on co-ordination and co-operation relationships with the other local and Community innovation networks and with stakeholders in European research; on the choice of three priority areas for action: aerospace, materials and the food industry; the consortium concentrates its action in these domains in particular by organising adequate events. CRISOF resources, distributed between seven regional offices and a project management unit, will ensure the delivery of an individualised and reactive service to regional clients. The project management structures (committees at two levels) have a proven track record and will guarantee the mobilisation of resources and appropriate management. CRISOF will use best practice within the network in terms of tools (among others: the IT tools IMT and AMT) whilst paying particular attention to the issue of the service quality provided within the network, whose "policy charter" is included in the CRISOF consortium agreement.
