Innovative operational UAV integration

Objective

The driving force behind creating the INOUI project and to answer the above call is stemming from the fact that no ongoing European project focuses on the crucial matter of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Regardless of the fact that i.e. drones are already furrowing the skies, albeit either at a very low altitude, or in segregated airspace due to their mostly military nature, the integration in the non-restricted airspace is left aside. In particular, the topic UAV is almost totally absent from SESAME and its high-level Definition Phase (Phase I) which, given the size of the project and the impact it is going to have on the ATM community in the years to come. INOUI aims at complementing SESAME to compensate for this flaw of leaving out UAVs. This will be achieved by developing documents providing a roadmap to the future of UAVs in the context of the ever changing ATM environment.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
