Austrian presidency conference on European technology platforms

Objective

The aim of this project is to organize the "Austrian Presidency Conference on European Technology Platforms" on 4/5 May 2006 in Vienna for max. 450 persons. Organising Institution is the FFG, The Austrian Research Promotion Agency. The high-level 1 1/2 day Conference on European Technology Platforms is one of the official events of the Austrian EU-presidency in the first half of 2006. Purpose and focus: The central themes of the event are the European Technology Platforms and their impact on FP7 and European competitiveness.

The aim is to bring together for the first time a wide-ranging audience in order to raise awareness and discuss horizontal issues relevant to ETPs. The focus of the first day will to discuss experience to date with European Technology Platforms (ETPs), their contribution to industry driven research in Europe and to the Lisbon strategy for a more competitive Europe. The second day deals with the implementation of European Technology Platforms during FP7 and beyond.
