Objective
This project aims to:
- Organize general management and coordination of the project (meetings, workshops, exchanges of expertise and experience).
- Assess, provide and exchange information on the general structure, working procedures, teaching practice, legal basis of local/national RECs and their networking.
- Identify the national and international regulation of research involving human beings, including case law and legal literature in the field, at the national and international level and develop an analytical framework of this regulation.
- Identify existing training materials for members of RECs, test and recommend training curricula.
- Provide tools to improve quality enhance self-evaluation of RECs and build a network of excellence.
- Emphasise added value of networking practise by providing a clear picture on initial characteristics of Biomedical Research protocols conducted on human subjects and submitted to RECs in Europe -drug and non-drug research-.
