Biofuels technologies european showcase

Objective

BITES is a pan-European dissemination action for the promotion and uptake of biofuel chains in Europe. The project is promoted by five national associations globally gathering more than 600 members and representing different regions of the EU with the support of a specialised communication agency. BITES fully matches the European agenda on biofuels and complements the Biomass Action Plan issued in December 2005. BITES is structured on two highly complementary sets of activities. The first one deals with dissemination of best practices. The project will identify biofuel demonstration projects or initiatives that have proven successful in developing high performance, economically viable and compliant to EU regulations biofuel chains. Best practices will be organised in a web-based showcase and brought to the constituency of European biofuels stakeholders in 4 macro-regional events in Sweden, Germany, Italy and Poland.
