Objective
The key objective of this SSA project is to advance service related innovation policy and programme development among Member States and regions. The SSA will act as a preparatory project for a future INNO-Net that will focus upon strategic level cooperation and development of joint activities between national and sub-national service related programmes.
An initiation of a full-scale INNO-Net would be somewhat premature at this stage, where most national and regional innovation organisations in Europe are only beginning to implement programmes aimed at innovative service businesses. The aims of the project are the following. Firstly, a European Expert Focus Group will be established to network relevant actors and guide the work. Secondly, a series of mapping studies will be carried out in selected Member States and regions to identify and analyse existing service related policy and programme initiatives.
