Objective
The Researchers' Night 2006 in Norway is a nation-wide promotion effort in line with the objectives of the call FP6-2006-Mobility-13 of the Commission, planned to be arranged on the evening of 22. Sept., 2006.
As in 2005, the Researchers' Night 2006 coincides with the opening of the "Forskningsdagene" (Norway's National Science Week, 22.09-011006) during which around 1000 events are arranged by 200 local/regional representatives all over Norway, organised and coordinated by the Research Council of Norway (RCN). "Forskningsdagene" is well established and well covered by the media. The RCN aims to copy, supplement and improve last year's nation-wide arrangements on the "Researchers' Night" 220906.
This has been approved by the local organisers of the "Forsk ningsdagene 2006", who agree that the RCN submit Norway's proposal for the Commission. The "Researchers' Night 2006" in Norway aims to bring the public at large - as well as the media - in close contact and dialogue with researchers under informal and innovative circumstances.
