INNO-views - innovation policy workshops

Objective

The INNO-Views module is a follow up of the TrendChart workshops contract managed by Technopolis BV, which will end in February 2007. DG Enterprise and Industry now aims at further development of the existing tools and their integration in a consistent strategy, in accordance with the new Integrated Action Plan on Innovation and Research launched at the end of 2005.

In the framework of Europe INNOVA and PRO INNO Europe, the overall role of the present INNO-Views project in this regard will be to bridge the gaps between innovation policy analysis, policy learning and dissemination and transfer of good practices in innovation policy, following the lines of the "Open Method of Coordination". It is the objective of this INNO-Views project to continue the process of the TrendChart Workshops with the organisation of four workshops per year to explore new and emerging innovation themes.

In view of the role within the PRO INNO Europe initiative, the project will, however, adopt a more forthcoming approach, and will notably contribute to the identification of promising innovation policies to be further discussed and disseminated under the INNO-Learning Platform module.
