Support to the Vice-Chair of the ERC Scientific Council 2006-2007

Objective

In the light of the preparation of future European activities in investigator-driven frontier research through the creation of a European Research Council (ERC), the project aims at supporting and assisting Dr. Daniel Esteve, Vice-Chair of the European Research Council Scientific Council (ERC ScC) in his assignment in order to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the ERC Scientific Council, and the efficient and timely achievement of its objectives in preparing and managing the start of the ERC operations under FP7. The project will provide administrative and secretarial assistance related to the work of the Vice-Chair of the ERC Scientific Council for a period of two years (2006-2008). The total amount of the project is 100.000. The project is hosted by the Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique and includes the appointment of a personal assistant for providing broad administrative and secretarial support to the Vice-Chair of the ScC.
Maintain the calendar and schedule appointments including arranging external meetings
Type, copy and distribute all ERC related documents documents/correspondence/e- mails as needed;
Screen and respond to telephone calls and e-mail;
Serve as host to visitors waiting to speak to ScC Chair
Arrange travel, hotel accommodations, hosting of meals, conference rooms, catering arrangements, etc.
Organise contacts with the ScC secretariat and the secretaries of the ScC (Vice-)Chairs and members;
Establish and Maintain files/archives;
Provide miscellaneous support as needed;
Provide technical assistance to the SCC Vice-Chair in preparation of presentations related to the ERC/ScC.
