- Theoretical and computational studies of electrostatic turbulence and turbulent transport in magnetized fusion plasmas.
- Research and development of new laser-based diagnostics with increased spatial resolution for studies of turbulent density fluctuations in fusion plasmas.
- Theoretical and experimental studies of plasma turbulence in Stellators (in collaboration with IPP Garching.
- Effects of irradiation on physical and mechanical properties of copper-and iron-based alloys relevant to the Next Step and the Long-Term Technology programmes.
