Concerted Action Multigeneration Energy systems with Locally Integrated Applications

Objective

The Coordination Action aims at leading a general survey and analysis of the various possibilities of producing electricity together with other energy (heating, cooling) from waste, biomass and other RES in a view to apply it for buildings energy supply in an autonomous way so as to reduce drastically the CO2 emissions due to energy consumption from the building sector.

In this CA, we want to get an inventory of the state of the art, explore various promising cost-effective systems and analyse future implementation taking into account:
- impact of innovative technologies (heat driven devices and possibly CO2 capture and storage) to reduce CO2 emissions;
- people response to new systems (regarding habits, constraints and costs) environmental impact (in particular overall GHG -greenhouse gas- emission decrease) versus techno-économie aspects;
- energy storage and integration of electricity surplus to the network.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

This project has not yet been classified with EuroSciVoc.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
