Programme Level Accompanying Measures
The Europen ICT Prize is aimed at promoting innovation in ICT research and market-ready products with ICT as their core technology.
EUROPEAN ICT PRIZE: Euro-CASE proposes, within the framework of the 6th IST Work Programme, to continue and to improve the organisation of the European IST Prize, which it has successfully carried out in co-operation with the European Commission since 1995, along the following lines: Administrative and secretarial support; Launch (promotion and dissemination in the 33 countries to which the Prize is open); Reception of applications and acknowledgement of receipt; Evaluation of applications; Selection of 50-70  EISTP Nominees, and, among them, 20 EISTP Winners, and, subsequently, 3 European IST Grand Prize Winners (In 2004 the decision on the EISTP winners will be taken by the Commission, based on a ranking proposal established by Euro-CASE); Organisation, at the annual IST Event or another Commission organised event, of the European IST Prize Winners Exhibition and European IST Prize Awards Ceremony, jointly with the European Commission; Organisation of various events during the annual European IST Event (and/or other event); Promotion on EISTP Nominees, EISTP Winners and European IST Grand Prize Winners.
