Objective
Media IRC consists in a partnership network composed by a Technology Transfer Centre (Consorzio Catania Ricerche), an Association of SMEs (Apindustrie Catania), a Research Centre (CRES) and a University-industry Liaison Office (Consorzio SPIN) which aims at promoting trans-national technology transfer (TTT) cooperation. It is a consortium, distributed all over the targeted territory, "Objective 1" southern Italy regions of Sicily and Calabria, which is going to provide high-quality level of IRC services to IRC clients. One of the main goal of the project is aimed to provide Trans-national Technology Transfer (TTT) services to SMEs, large companies and research institutions like universities and technology transfer centres. Moreover, since companies' in dustrial peculiarities are quite different this should be an important item which requires suitable action in order to work for establishing innovation strategy. In order to improve regional competitiveness through innovation, a particular regard will be given in delivering successful TTT pertinent to those needs expressed by industrial fabric by working in synergy with national and regional support structures. The main objectives to be reached are as follows: a) providing inward-outward TTT and RTD exploitation services; b) stimulating companies ability to adopt new technologies, mainly SMEs; c) cooperating with other community service providers (EIC, BIC, NCP) d) strengthening the interaction with other IRCs. In accordance with and as a further d evelopment of MEDIA IRC's objectives foreseen in the previous project proposal the main expected achievements in terms of results will be as follows: -2500 clients contacts -300 technical audits carried out by IRC experts -120 TTT negotiations -15 TTT a greements
