Objective
Proposal abstract : IRC Norway will tailor its services to meet the needs of its local clientele, while respecting the IRC objectives. As stated in the Research and Innovation Work Programme, the main tasks of the IRCs will be to: - Promote the transnatio nal transfer of technologies and knowledge, whatever their origin, in accordance with the needs of the local industrial, economic and social fabric - Stimulate the capacity of firms to adopt new technologies by establishing their needs and ability for t ransnational co-operation and partnerships - Promote the transnational dissemination and exploitation of the results of Community research, notably those results identified as suitable for third party exploitation and including co-operation with EURE KA and ESA (European Space Agency) - Provide other key services which help promote or facilitate innovation and transnational technology transfer - Pursue possible synergies between the IRCs and the Innovating Regions in Europe (IRE) network - Develop n ew methods, e.g. for the promotion of transnational clusters and/or measures to facilitate the development of the European Research Area. Operational objectives : IRC Norway will address the following operational objectives : 1. Promotion of inward Tra nsnational Technology Transfer and RTD exploitation and dissemination services 2. Promotion of outward Transnational Technology Transfer and RTD exploitation and dissemination services 3. Stimulate the capacity of SMEs to adopt new technologies 4. Signpos ting and co-ordination 5. New methods of promoting Transnational Technology Transfer 6. Joint Events with the Norwegian and European Association of CNC Machine Tool Users 7. Repurchasing arrangements between Norway and Spain 8. Delivering high quality TO a nd TR to the IRC Network 9. Joint IRC Actions 10. General co-ordination 11. Project Management
