Objective
The Mediterranean Innovation Network (MedIN) covers the South-eastern part of France which has a high amount of R&D and new innovative firms. Its major objective is to reinforce the market impact of the local research results, an other objective is to give local SMEs an easier access to European S&T resources. The consortium gathers the French Innovation Agency (Anvar through its local departments), two Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry and one regional technology transfer organisation ( Méditerranée Technologies) commissioned by the regional authority. The main expected results will consist of 8 to 10 technology transfer contracts being signed per year and of giving local SMEs the know how to co-operate at an international level. These r esults will be reached through individual consulting, specific partnerships with IRC partners enabling joint transnational brokerage events or company missions, as well as through the use of efficient IT tools for a more accurate flow of information.
