Objective
The Consortium undertakes to build and develop an organizational infrastructure, IRC Anatolia, for promoting the transfer of research results and technologies, in accordance with the needs expressed by the industrial structure of Southeast, Middle, and Ea st Anatolia regions in Turkey, in order to improve its competitiveness through innovation. In general, the region falls into the specifications of "innovation and TTT less-favored countries" classification of the Commission. After establishment of IRC An atolia and successful implementation of IRC Network policies and objectives in the region, the region will: i) improve its technological and competition level through in-ward/out-ward technology transfers and marketing; ii) strengthen the scientific and t echnological bases of industry and research community; iii) engage in EU networks and communicate with key players, users, and policy makers; iv) carry out more research and technological development activities in order to utilize potential outcomes of te chnology transfer. The IRC Anatolia Consortium is formed by Teknopark (the coordinator), a private company managing Turkey's biggest science park, Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB), a semi government organization, and the Ankara Chamber of Industry. The total cost of the project is going to be 1.662.360,00 Euros for four years period. The commission contribution sought is 41% (677,655.00) of total cost. The remaining part shall be financed by the consortium. IRC Anatolia shal l be managed by a Steering Committee while Teknopark (the coordinator) shall be responsible for administrative and financial coordination of the project. A dedicated full-time manager has been assigned to undertake the daily activities and show the consort iums dedication to the project.
