Centre Relais Innovation de Wallonie - CRIW - Innovation Relay Centre for Wallonia - IRC for Wallonia Period 2004 - 2008

Objective

The CRIW will cover the territory of Wallonia (B). It will act as an additional tool for the growing Walloon SMEs that need to turn towards European technology transfer (TT) for evolving. CRIW will aim to make Walloon technological innovation progress th rough a greater implication of SMEs in RTD results exploitation or TT projects needing a European industrial partnership. By doing this, CRIW will completely reach one of the most important objective of the "Research and Innovation" programme: to promote innovation! Built on complementary partners (DGTRE and GIE-CEI) former experience as an IRC, CRIW consortium will develop the so-called " client directed strategy " lying on : 1/ identification, in Wallonia, of new eligible technological offers (TO) and requests (TR) as a result of local awareness campaigns ; in parallel, identification of relevant TO/TR coming from the IRC Network and well suited to our client base needs ; 2/ widespread contact actions with interesting local actors in order to produce a technological profile or an audit report ; in parallel, dissemination of Network profiles among our clientele in order to generate expressions of interest (EOI) ; 3/ specific assistance actions dedicated to those clients who really want to match other European innovation actors and to negotiate with them in order to finalise a TT agreement. CRIW will be active in generating an added value favourable to employment and economic Walloon objectives in Europe, with respect for ethical and gender rules. Th ese objectives will be reached by strengthening, in Wallonia, innovative SMEs involvement in TTT and by optimising the use of the European IRC network. CRIW will aim to be recognised by Walloon SMEs as a key contact point for all issues related to transn ational Innovation and EC RTD results valorisation.
