Objective
IRC StEZ will deliver the services of an Innovation Relay Centre in 2 German (Baden-Wuerttemberg and Thuringia) and 1 Swiss (East-Switzerland) region in accordance to regional innovation needs of industry (mainly SME) and to the regional technology and innovation portfolio. IRC StEZ has delivered this service successfully in the past and will further consolidate the service to reach higher quality and customer satisfaction. Looking at the difficult economic times, the IRC´s objective will be to strengthen the competitiveness of firms through innovation and transnational technology cooperations and, at the same time, training SMEs and entrepreneurs to get involved in this transnational innovation process. To achieve this, IRC StEZ will make use of the IRC Network partners and tools and vice versa deliver best quality service to the Network (also as good practices) to support the common goal of increasing the number of trans-national co-operations in Europe including the NAS. In terms of service to clients, IRC StEZ will raise awareness for innovation opportunities in technology transfer including EU RTD results, contact at least 600 companies in 4 years and assist clients in implementing transnational cooperations within their environment..New approaches will be tried including service packaging for technology and innovation sectors to increase cost effectiveness and target new client groups. Overall, around 1500 clients will be assisted on transnational technology transfer issues and IRC StEZ plans to achieve 25 to 30 transnational technology transfer agreements per year. IRC StEZ will stimulate access to and implementation of technology innovation throughout the EU and the associated countries and thus improve Europe's innovation performance. SMEs and entrepreneurs will be made aware, trained and supported for starting transnational cooperations, turning research results into commercially valuable innovations.
