Objective
The primary objective of BIO-ACE will be to improve the research capacity of the first and most promising Bioengineering Department in Turkey, and to establish it as a National Centre of Excellence in Bioengineering/Biotechnology. BIO-ACE will concentrate on reinforcing its science and technology potential by enhancing interactions between MS and ACCs laboratories, institutes, commercial enterprises and individuals working in the bioengineering / biotechnology area. It will support its existing human resources by providing young scientists with solid and up to date knowledge in bioengineering through exchange programmes, fellowships, training courses. In parallel, it will enhance Turkey's participation in cooperative research programmes, and will ensure the dissemination of new or pertinent knowledge in meetings, organized collaboratively with various EU institutions.
