Global Language Support and Uniform Environment

Objective

The objective of OMI/GLUE is to design and develop a complete language support and software architecture for OMI, based on the concept of virtual binary interface (VBI). The architecture will enable the development of software supporting all the microprocessors selected as the technology baseline for OMI, as well as new developments such as the new OMI architecture and the Eurocell library.

The project will also provide a software platform for the migration of existing applications software onto OMI, taking account of the different hardware architectures.

The approach is to:

- develop the language support for OMI
- define and develop the software architecture for the new OMI high-performance processor family
- consolidate and develop ANDF technology within OMI
- extend its applicability to parallel computer systems.

The results of the project will provide the main route for software developers targeting the developing family of OMI processors.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
