The functional objectives are to provide new:
• OF1. Ways to securely store relevant information from supply network partners.
• OF2. Tools for supporting the supply network optimization of manufacturing and logistic assets.
• OF3. Tools to support decision-makers in collaborative processes.
• OF4. Cloud space for allowing access to all the participants in the value chain to support their decisions and processes enhancement.
C2NET services have complete visibility and real-time status of the entire supply chain at all times looking for an optimal response to maximize both local and global benefit.
Cloud computing C2NET offers its service on a cloud environment. Using C2NET, users are able to access powerful systems that provide high performance computing. C2NET breaks current SMEs’ technological barriers by allowing them to have access to cloud technologies.
Collaborative Networks C2NET project allows exploiting enterprises’ capabilities and resources to efficiently succeed on the participation in collaborative networks. C2NET provides enterprises an integrated architecture consisting of three modules C2NET DCF, C2NET OPT, and C2NET COT, to support them dealing with decentralized decision making within collaborative networks contexts.
Enterprise Applications C2NET solution can work on top of the already existing enterprise applications providing features for collaboration at supply network level. C2NET solution can ingest data from those applications or IoT devices using it for optimization, monitoring and agility purposes. Collected information is used by C2NET optimization algorithms to optimize source, make and delivery plans. Involved companies through the C2NET solution can agree in the suggested plans by the system and can monitor them in an assisted way, acting in an agile way when significant deviations are notified.
Enterprise Interoperability C2NET developments incorporate interoperability functionalities to facilitate the collection of information from enterprise legacy systems and IoT hubs and work in a harmonised way at all the levels of the enterprise.
Event Driven Architecture (EDA) C2NET implements an EDA with three levels: i) A Complex Event Processor is dedicated to the treatment of IoT incoming flows. Such events are used to notify users trigger activities in collaborative processes, launch optimization, feed the plan monitoring. Ii) A second CEP in charge of maintaining a model of the supply chain collaboration situation applies high levels business rules that generate the refinement of the model based on incoming events. Detection service generates events associated to deviation between the planned situation and the originally planned. Iii) Events can be used to launch and orchestrate collaborative processes .
Everything as a Service (EaaS) C2NET solution offers three main services: company data collection and storage as a service; supply network collaborative optimization as a service; and monitoring, detection and agility as a service. All them combined under one single solution offers a very powerful solution for supply manufacturing networks.
Internet of Everything (IoE) C2NET solution contributes to advance the state of the art on the IoT and also the IoE, delivering a real time data collection framework that provides the means to virtualise resources, hence enabling the creation of a smart network of machines, ICT systems, smart products and people across the entire factory. DCF technology facilitates data acquisition from the shopfloor of the factories, which in C2NET is contextualized in the differed production orders and plans so that an accurate monitoring and optimization of the processes can be achieved.
Manufacturing Processes Management C2NET provides a new generation of tools and services to increase the effectiveness of the Manufacturing Processes Management enabling the conditions for an efficient collaboration among the stakeholders of the supply chain. C2NET Cloud enabled technologies can interoperate with enterprise systems and applications to support decision making within extended and collaborative business processes environments. By using the C2NET Integrated Solution, industrial companies within the same supply chain can share information in the Cloud to generate optimised procurement, production or delivery plans in a private and secure way. Decision-makers can also use C2NET collaboration tools to validate these plans with each other.
Manufacturing Processes Optimization C2NET OPT module provides an advanced set of optimisation algorithms available in the cloud for the optimization of manufacturing and logistics assets by the collaborative computation of production plans, replenishment plans and delivery plans.
Mobile Computing C2NET allows the resource limited mobile applications to provide the end users to acquire experience that can be achieved in the web browser.
Ontologies C2NET offers a standardised data model to provide a common and structured terminology in form of Standardised Tables (STables) to have a shared understanding of all the different needs in terms of collaboration and optimisation, for supporting the definition and calculation of replenishment, manufacturing and delivery plans according to the needs of the domain modules C2NET DCF, C2NET OPT and C2NET COT.
Open Source Technologies
C2NET was implemented by using Open Source technologies, and its own development was almost fully deployed using Open Source licences.
Orchestration / Choreography of Workflows C2NET solution offers the possibility to design and orchestrate collaborative processes supported by the OPP (Orchestration Process Planning) component.
